Whey is a complete protein and is generally the better choice for supporting muscle recovery and growth. Collagen has a different amino acid profile and primarily supports connective tissues such as skin, bones, joints, tendons and ligaments. Collagen is not a complete protein, so it should not be considered a direct replacement for whey protein when muscle building is the main goal.
